I have been teaching for eight years, seven have been in fourth grade and one in fifth grade. I taught my first two years at Porter Ridge Elementary. When Poplin was built, I was transferred and have been here ever since.
I moved from Syracuse, New York eight years ago. I received my Bachelor's degree at the State University of New York at Brockport. I also received my Master's degree in Special Education from SUNY Cortland.
I have been married to my husband Steven for 10 years and have two dogs named Duke and Layla.
I have always wanted to be a teacher. I had difficulty learning as a child and I know what it is like to struggle with academics. As I started my journey into education, I knew I wanted to help all students succeed from students who struggle academically to the students who need to be challenged. I love what I do and I enjoy coming into my classroom and working with my students every day.
